Good News!
Recently there was a top 50 albums in Scotland (2012) list published on Herald Scotland. The good news is that at least 6 of these albums have direct links to the UWS Commercial Music course!

What is your current occupation?
I’m currently a Marketing Officer for the Innovation and Research Office at the University of the West of Scotland. I’m responsible for the creation and upkeep of IROs social media platforms, events coordination and marketing in relation toB2B (Business to Business) relationships.
I continue to work in the Creative Industry freelancing for a number of agencies, most recently Renfrewshire Council for the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival as a Marketing Assistant and as a Digital Marketing Assistant for Mark Robb’s ‘Pop Up’ Rio Club (Partick/Glasgow). How did your career start?
This is my second career & this one transpired when I happened to bump into Allan Dumbreck at another FE institution about 6 years ago. Within about a week I found myself on the Commercial Music Programme at UWS as a (very) mature student. I then went onto to do the Popular Music M.Litt and then my Phd at Glasgow, along with some lecturing at UWS.
